Ending the swimming lessons by Private swimschool Renz van der Toorn
Private swimschool Renz van der Toorn can end the lessons at once if the cooperation does not go as expected /my conditions/guidelines for a pleasant atmosphere are not observed.

Guidelines for a pleasant atmosphere
You choose for a small-scale “practise at house” with limited waiting room.
(Not for a large public municipality swimming pool with a large canteen and a large parking place designed to get large numbers of visitors and large numbers of cars.)
In connection with the former, fire-safety-regulations and my business-philosophy I have guidelines for a pleasant atmosphere.

Actual the guidelines imply: “showing consideration for each other” + “keeping an eye on your child”. Please note that you, or who else accompanies your child, can be addressed for failing to comply with the guidelines. If someone else brings/picks up your child, for example grandmother/-father or baby-sitter/au pair/nanny, please inform him/her in advance about all these things

Start and ending of lessons
The duration of a lesson is 30 minutes and starts and ends strictly on time.
When you arrive in the changing room 5 to 10 minutes before the lesson you have enough time to change clothes.

Waiting
• You can wait in the waiting room.
• You can see how your child is doing via the monitor. Because of didactic reasons the lessons are without parents/brother or sister/etc. around the pool and also without parents/brother or sister/etc. behind the door-of-glass that gives entrance to the pool. Besides the didactic reasons it distracts the children who are having swimming lessons and this is a waist of the effective teaching time.
• To be clear, you always have access to the pool when you want to, nothing is behind shut doors.
• If the weather is nice you can sit outside at the “Patio”.

You have free acces to our Wi-Fi network.

Good atmosphere
To keep a pleasant atmosphere during the swimming lessons (and in my waiting room) the following is not allowed: swearing/cursing, yelling/screaming, teasing.

Handle our belongings
• Please do not take tables and chairs from the waiting-room outside.
• Please put the magazines back after reading
• Near the children table there are children books and toys. Please clear everything that is “lying around” after playing.
Please see to it that children do not use the decoration or other materials, inside as well as outside/patio as toys in a rough manner. (Chairs are not “walking-cars”, chairs are to sit on and not to jump/stand on with feet, etc.)

Visitors
• my swim school is designed for a maximum of 3 children per lesson.
my waiting room offers room to a maximum of 2 visitors per child who is following swimming lessons. In case of a larger number of visitors per child who is following swimming lessons, my waiting room is to crowded (think about fire-safety) and I have a lack of seats, certainly during the changing/overlap of lessons.
• I understand that during the swim course of your child it incidentally can happen that you can not fit in the number of visitor mentioned before with your baby-sitter/au pair/nanny.
When you think that you can not fit in the number of visitors mentioned before with your baby-sitter/au pair/nanny structural, then please register at a large public municipality swimming pool designed to get large numbers of visitors.
A possible alternative is to register at my swimming school for the weekend, so one of the partners can go to the swimming lessons and the other can baby-sit (assuming both partners are not working during the weekend).
• A little brother/sister can come along – as 1 of the 2 visitors under the following conditions:
I understand that a child can not be silent and can not sit still. But please forbid annoying running, annoying screaming, etc. of your child. It is a waiting-room/patio not a playing-ground.
Please let your child sit, play, eat and drink as much as possible around the children’s table.
One also must reckon with other parents who want to wait convenient and in reasonable quiet (see my “business-philosophy”).
• I only work by appointment.
In principal I do not work with “trial lessons” and “onlookers/spectators”, because I want to keep quiet in my lessons and in my waiting room. Besides, my waiting room and my parking place are not adjusted to extra “visitors”.

My business-philosophy
It are not just a few lessons parents have to wait while their child is learning to swim, but it is a longer period. For the children the swimming lessons have to be convenient. For the parents waiting must be convenient. Parents should be able to to wait, relax, read, do some work, etc. in a reasonable rest. I expect from parents, that when a brothers or sisters presence is for others too much felt/too annoying, the parent will not bring this child along anymore to the swimming lesson.

Conditions concerning the exam and how it takes place
Private swimschool Renz van der Toorn works according to the “conditions, directives and exam programs swimming diplomas” (BREZ) from the National Board of Swim diploma's (NPZ-NRZ). The NPZ-NRZ sets conditions to the measurements of the pool were the exams are held. That is why the exams are held in a big community pool and not in our private pool. See Swim ABC for the program.
The exams are organized by me (3 times a year), supervised by a commision for quality assurance.
On average there are 20 children per exam, A exam seperately, B exam seperately and C exam seperately. The exams are quit and calm, no crowd of children.
During the exam the pool is exclusively for my children and only accessible for people whose names are on the questlist

Spectators during the exam
Only 2 people per child who is swimming for his/her diploma, are allowed to sit at the seats around the pool. We work with a questlist.

N.B. Above the pace of matter + guidelines for a pleasant atmosphere in broad outlines. The details (functional and domestic) will follow in due time at actual placement
